Tupag's a dreamer. It's what he does best. In fact, it's all he ever does! Dreams of juicy berries falling into his mouth. Dreams of effortless fishing in which salmon fling themselves onto his spear. Best of all, dreams of a moon as golden and warm asfirelight.

Not for Tupag, a life of hunting whales or walrus. Not for him, a life of berry picking. Let the other villagers venture out into the cold eternal night in search of food. He intends to stay warm in his parka and mukluks and,above all, to dream his dreams.

One day, after much discussion,the villagers decide Tupag must leave. What good does his lazy dreaming do for their hard existence? Sad and alone, he disappears into the darkness where, for once, no dreams come to soften harsh reality. That is, until he encounters Raven, creator of the world and guardian of dreamers!
