郑小军著的《专利法(普通法案例教学系列英文教材)(英文版)》是针对中国学生，经过北京外国语大学法学院十多年课堂教学经验的积累，吸取国外法学教育方法中的有益成分的基础上编写而成的。其目的有二：一是大幅度提高学生的英语语言能力，二是深入而系统地了解普通法的精要。

本书完全用英文写成，内容采用经过裁剪删节的美国或英国法庭意见，分为十四章，包括概论、新颖性、实用性、非显而易见性、可专利性主题、公开、权利要求、专利审查、授权后修改等专利前期确权工作的课题，以及侵权、救济、许可、国际申请、发展现状等等后期维权工作的内容。
