中国共产党是如何治党的？靠什么走到今天？又将靠什么继续走下去？这不仅是中国共产党人关心的问题，也是很多党外人士、甚至国外人士关注的问题。谢春涛主编的《中国共产党如何治党（英文版）》即试图回答这些问题。本书分为八章。前三章分别概述民主革命时期、改革开放以前和改革开放以来党的建设的主要脉络。后五章分别介绍党的思想建设、组织建设、作风建设、反腐倡廉建设和制度建设的基本情况。本书从党史的角度讲党建，试图讲清不同时期党的建设遇到的问题，中央是如何研究解决这些问题的，其效果如何等，从而讲清楚中国共产党是如何治党的。

The first three chapters introduce the development of Party building during the democratic revolution,before the reform and opening up and after the reform and opening up. The other five chapters are about the Party's efforts in strengthening the Party theoretically and organizationally, improving its conduct, becoming better able to fight corruption, upholding Party integrity and improving Party rules and regulations. The book tries to elaborate on Party building based on the history of the Party, discussing the problems encountered in different periods, how the CPC addressed these problems and the effects of those measures, so that the readers can understand how the CPC governs the Party.
