We founded the Cass Sculpture Foundationat Goodwood, a registered charity, a decade ago, and couldnever have anticipated that we'd be celebrating our tenthanniversary with a unique exhibition of works from one ofthe world's leading sculptors, Tony Cragg. Despite being arecipient of the Turner Prize, member of the Royal Academyand the holder of numerous professorships around the world,Tony's work is probably less familiar in the UK than on theinternational arts stage.

His work is of such outsianding quality and visionthat it was a natural choice for us to feature him on our newfour-acre site called the Chalk Pit, which we created especiallyfor our one-man exhibitions. Part of the Foundation's mission isto promote and advance the public's understanding of twenty-first cenlury British sculpture, and this book is being publishedas part of its ongoing education programme.
